Kickstarter for WAX IDOLS & TERRY MALTS Tour. Being a band on the road is not always glamorous. There are so many costs: gas, food, tolls, laundry, plus so many things can go wrong: parking tickets, van repairs, gear repairs, resorting to hotels, and then add the pressure of getting from one venue to the other on time! You’d be surprised how often I hear of touring bands being paid $100-$150 a show, or hear nightmare nightmare promoters ripping bands off. Being a band these days is definitely a labor of love. Our friends, Terry Malts and Wax Idols are planning a US tour and have launched a Kickstarter to cushion funds for their tour. It’s not a bad idea, hell, it’s a really smart idea. Please support their efforts, they’re both great bands plus they have lots of worthy treats in exchange. If they’re coming around your town, be sure to check them out (tour dates below).
