Last week, San Francisco’s Boyz IV Men recorded four new tracks with sound engineer Phil Manley (Trans AM/The Fucking Champs/Jonas Reinhardt). They’ve posted some unmastered goodies for us to preview. “Rocky IV” is appropriately titled; it’s definitely a workout jam. They keys hit hard and the drums gush out rhythm. What sets these tracks apart from last fall’s Sweat LP (Turn Up Records) is their finesse – it sounds like they’ve tricked out their sound ride, but the beast of an engine remains the same.

Word on the street is that the “Norcal Values” LP was made exclusively for Record Store Day 2011 (4/16), and only 1,000 copies will be available worldwide. Need a plan of action?
