Video: The Sandwitches // “Baby Mine”. I wrote my first column called “Lights Out” for the San Francisco Bay Guardian on the local trio the Sandwitches and the second-to-last show at the Eagle Tavern. The Bay Guardian also printed my photo from the band’s record release show, which I’m pretty stoked about.
Above, I posted an interesting video of the ladies’ performing a stripped-down version of “Baby Mine.” If you like it, click through and find two more videos for “My Heart Does Swell” and “Summer of Love,” where, weirdly enough, the band is performing in a Girl’s restroom—they’ve got the drum set in there! Anyways, all the videos are shot very intimately, revealing even acne. As of now, the Sandwitches are playing three Bay Area shows this summer:
- June 14th at Amnesia Bar with Michael Yonkers (solo) and Bronze
- June 17th at Milk Bar (for the City Limits Records release party) with Exray’s and Maus Haus
- July 1st at Great American Music Hall with Sonny & the Sunsets
